NCFE Accreditation

Accreditation is recognition from an external body that an organisation and/or Certificate course meets a particular standard.

The Awarding Body which accredits your TESOL qualification is of paramount importance, consider it carefully.

INTESOL has attained the NCFE Investing in Quality Licence (IIQ) which means our courses have been independently accredited by NCFE.

If you wish to confirm our status under the IIQ accreditation scheme you can do so by emailing info@ncfe.org.uk.

Ofqual Regulation

NCFE is regulated by Ofqual (Office of the Qualifications and Examinations Regulator).

If the accrediting body which accredits your course is UK based and is not on the Register of Regulated Qualifications it is not government regulated.

Knowing that the TESOL/TEFL qualification you seek to obtain will be internationally recognised is important. Before deciding on the TEFL/TESOL course you will study it is essential that the course provider can satisfy you with answers to the following questions:

1. Is the course provider independently accredited and inspected?
2. Can potential employers check directly with the independent authority responsible for accreditation?
3. Is a contact address, name, phone and contact email address provided?
4. Does the advertising and promotional material give a clear and truthful account of the courses offered, especially regarding level? Can the level be verified?
5. Is a course syllabus available?
6. Is tutor support of high quality and consistent throughout the provision and do all the tutors have appropriate qualifications and experience?
7. Is the prospective learner made aware, prior to enrolment, of all the terms and conditions of the course?

ODLQC Accreditation

We're also accredited as a Course Provider with the Open and Distance Learning Quality Council. The ODLQC is there to ensure that you receive outstanding service as a student. Our full accreditation status was gained after a painstaking process and is reviewed annually.

Accommodation

We provide all the necessary arrangements for students so they can concentrate on their studies.

An arrangement fee of £60 (non-refundable) in advance will be charged for this service.

We will do our best to provide accommodation for you where you can easily unwind and feel at home. We have student residences, homestay facilities and house share facilities.

Accommodation will be provided close to the college and underground stations so that you can get to the Academy easily. (Subject to availability)

Student Residence

Mainly intended for short stay, it is used by university or college students during the academic year. Students have their own room and may also share the room and share the kitchen and bathroom. There is a fully equipped kitchen and furniture is provided.

GOSWELL STUDENT RESIDENCE - ISLINGTON (SELF CATERING EN-SUITE ACCOMMODATION IN ZONE 1)

This is a centrally located, modern, purpose-built hostel within a 12 minute walk of Angel underground station, close to Clerkenwell, with its many shops, bars, restaurants, shopping centres and cinemas. It offers 110 well-appointed single rooms, all with en-suite facilities (WC, basin and shower cubicle) and 5 self-contained studios.

All rooms have their own telephone and Internet access and there is a spacious, fully equipped kitchen and dining area for every 10 rooms. There is a coin-operated laundry, vending machines and 24 hour caretaker and security system with CCTV.

Linen is provided but students are responsible for their own laundry and cleaning of their rooms and bathrooms. Weekly cleaning of rooms is available for a supplementary charge of £10.00 per week (to be paid direct to the residence by the student).

DINWIDDY HOUSE HALL OF RESIDENCE (SELF CATERING ENSUITE ACCOMMODATION IN ZONE 1)

This residence was opened in 1996 and is located within 6 minutes walk of King's Cross Underground and Thameslink stations. It caters for over 500 students.

Attractively designed around a central courtyard on a split-level site, the halls provide spacious ensuite accommodation with 24 hour security/reception staff, CCTV cameras onsite, swipe card door control system, large courtyard garden, TV lounge & vending machines, coin operated launderette & indoor bike shed.

All flats have a locked front door, a kitchen with 2 cookers, 2 fridges, 2 sinks & a freezer in each kitchen with cooking equipment provided.

Rooms are cleaned and linen changed weekly.

NUTFORD HOUSE HALL OF RESIDENCE (HALF BOARD BASIS IN ZONE 1)

This is centrally located, within 6 minutes walking distance of Oxford Street and Marble Arch Underground Station (which is 1 stop to Bond Street Station and 2 stops to Oxford Circus Station). The accommodation comprises 156 single rooms and 21 twin bedded rooms.

All rooms have washbasins, are centrally heated and have telephone and computer points. The hall has two common rooms, equipped with televisions and videos, a bar, music room and a small private garden.

Rooms are cleaned and linen changed weekly.

Homestay

If you would like to experience the British way of life and live in a home environment one of our friendly host families would be happy to welcome you into their home during your stay here. You will be treated as one of the family and will be given a great opportunity to improve your English. Your host family will provide you with a clean, comfortable room, access to the bathroom and laundry facilities, along with breakfast and evening meals during the week and full meals at weekends. You will find it an extremely rewarding experience.

Shared House

A shared house facility is good for students to interact with different nationalities and you can either share the room or have one of your own. In addition, you often share living areas - the kitchen, living room and bathroom. All shared houses are furnished and fully equipped, but we recommend you bring your own linen (towels and sheets) with you.

A shared house is different from a homestay as you must buy your own food, prepare your own meals. This option gives you more freedom and the opportunity to make new friends. There is a fully equipped kitchen with electricity, washing machine, fridge and furniture. You may pay some, or all of the costs such as telephone, internet, electricity, satellite TV and gas. All the other facilities in the house are shared.

There are many hotels and B&Bs (Bed and Breakfasts) to choose from. If this is your preferred choice we will be happy to advise you.
