Teaching Hot Spots

Ex-Soviet States - After years of Russian lessons and the desire to be associated with the rest of Europe demand is massive in countries like Poland, Slovakia, Czech Republic and even Russia itself.

South Korea, Japan and Taiwan - These tiger economies have emerged since the 60's and 70's with most of their wealth coming from the microchip. As these counties enter the world stage the demand for English has risen sharply.

China - China is rapidly becoming more capitalist and its economic development has never been higher. With an estimated 300 million people currently learning English its not a surprise that there are more TEFL jobs in China than any other country in the world.

Brazil - There are thousands of language schools scattered all over Brazil. Teaching opportunities exist from the smallest villages to big cities. The growing economy also allows for many opportunities to teach in large corporations.

South America - (Ecuador, Argentina, and Chile) The Spanish speaking, developing economies of South America have a huge thirst for English. Language schools are very common providing many teaching opportunities.

Central America and the Caribbean - If you keep your eyes and ears open as you travel through this enormous isthmus you will come across many opportunities to teach English. Costa Rica (the richest nation in Central America) has the most opportunities with large numbers of private language schools in San Jose.

Mexico - Due to its proximity to the US the demand for English language tuition in Mexico is huge. There is an abundance of jobs teaching children as well as many positions in universities and the business sector.
